Refund policy

We would rather you keep an order because it earns its place than return it out of frustration. So we have kept this policy plain, with nothing buried in the fine print. Everything below applies to orders placed and delivered within the United States, which is where we currently ship and accept returns.

How long you have

You have 40 days from the day your order arrives to start a return or an exchange. Once those 40 days are up we can no longer take the order back, so it is worth deciding inside that window.

The condition we look for

To send something back, it needs to reach us in the same state it left us:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and free of any marks or damage picked up after delivery
  • Still in its original packaging, with every tag attached
  • Sent back with proof of purchase, such as your order confirmation or receipt

Anything that comes back used, missing its tags, or without its packaging cannot be approved for a refund.

Starting your return

When you are ready, here is the order of things:

  • Email hello@julian-giraldo.com with your order number and a quick line on why it is coming back
  • Wait for our reply, which will carry the return address and the steps to follow. Please do not post anything before you hear from us
  • Pack it back up with all the original packaging and tags in place
  • Send it with a tracked service and keep hold of the tracking until your return is settled

Return postage

The cost of sending an order back to us is yours to cover:

  • We do not provide prepaid return labels, and we never take return postage out of your refund to recover it
  • Please use a tracked and insured service. We cannot refund an order that is lost or damaged on its way back to us

No restocking fees

We do not charge a restocking fee. Not on any order, not for any reason.

When and how you are refunded

Once your return reaches us, we will check it against the conditions above and email you either way to confirm whether it has been approved.

  • Approved refunds go back to the original card or account you paid with, within 2 business days of us approving it
  • The shipping you paid at checkout is not refunded, unless the return is down to a mistake on our side
  • Your bank or card issuer may take a few more days to show the money once we have sent it on our end
  • If 7 business days have passed since we confirmed your refund and it still has not appeared, get in touch and we will look into it

Swapping for something else

If you would rather have a different size or a different product altogether, we can set up an exchange in place of a refund, on faulty and non-faulty orders alike. Just say so in your first email and we will walk you through it.

If something arrives wrong

Now and then an order turns up damaged, faulty, or simply not what you ordered. If that happens, email hello@julian-giraldo.com within your 40 day return window with your order number and a clear photo of the problem, and reach out as soon as you can. Once we have seen it, we will put it right at no cost to you, whether that is a replacement, a repair, or a full refund. You will not need to post the faulty order back to us.

Cancelling before dispatch

If your order has not yet gone into our dispatch process, we can cancel it, so email us as quickly as you can at hello@julian-giraldo.com. Once an order has been handed to the carrier and is on its way, it can no longer be cancelled. At that point, let it arrive and start a standard return instead.
