The Marfa - Woven Leather Belt
Description
A belt for the days that do not ask much of you. The Marfa is the easy one in the drawer.
A woven full-grain leather belt with a relaxed, textured look, cut to a 3.5cm width that sits just as well with chinos as it does with worn-in denim. Because the strap is woven, the prong sits anywhere along it, so there are no fixed holes and the fit is yours to set exactly. It comes in three core colours, a warm tan, a deep brown, and a true black, each finished with a solid antique brass buckle and built to take everyday wear without complaint. Quiet, comfortable, and the kind of thing you reach for without thinking.
Fit note: woven leather has natural give and the prong sits anywhere along the weave, so the fit adjusts across a wide range. Order the size closest to your trouser waist, and size up if you wear your trousers low or sit between sizes.

How to tell a good belt
Most belts look the same in a photograph. Three things separate one that lasts a decade from one that cracks by spring.

The leather
Cut from one solid piece of leather, the same material front to back. Cheaper belts use bonded leather, scraps ground down and glued onto a backing, which cracks and peels inside a year.

The buckle
Solid metal with real weight to it, sitting on a folded, stitched end that will not work loose. The cheap version is hollow plated zinc, and the plating always goes at the prong first.

The edge
Stitched the full length, with the edge finished and sealed rather than left raw. A glued fold with no stitching is what splits open the first time you pull it hard.

The belt comes coiled onto tissue in a rigid oxblood box, with a card from us sitting on top. It is how we send every order, because a good belt should not turn up squashed in a plastic mailer.
